multipurpose superplasticizing additive for concrete, free from chlorides

Ready-to-use superplasticizer for concrete and mortar, specifically designed for ready-mix concrete. It works by dispersing cement particles and fine aggregate particles, significantly reducing the amount of mixing water. The presence of some catalytic components allows for significant increases in strength even with the same W/C ratio.

Using SUPERBETON 50 allows for: – a significant reduction in the W/C ratio while maintaining the same workability; – improved adhesion to reinforcing bars and improved vibration response; – increased initial workability due to a slight delay in setting (it does not delay hardening); – concrete free of bleeding and therefore of volumetric variations in fresh castings; – easy and perfect surface finishing; – increased strength while maintaining the same workability, an increase that translates into real savings on high-strength concrete; – more compact concrete, therefore more waterproof and more resistant to freeze-thaw cycles, and therefore better resistance to chemical agents; – improved surface and facing; – ease of pumping; – high adhesion to reinforcing bars.

SUPERBETON 500-HC

multipurpose superplasticizing additive for concrete, free from chlorides
SUPERBETON 500-HC is a chloride-free superplasticizer for accelerating mechanical strength at short curing times. Thanks to the effective synergy of its components and its high dispersing power, SUPERBETON 500-HC promotes cement hydration, resulting in increased initial and final concrete strength. SUPERBETON 500-HC complies with UNI 8145 and ASTM 494 type F.o.
Concrete added with SUPERBETON 500-HC changes its consistency from “wet” (1-3 cm slump) to “superfluid” or “self-leveling” simply by adding the superplasticizer at the indicated doses. SUPERBETON 500-HC produces highly workable concrete and appreciable increases in strength at very short, short, and medium curing times, while maintaining the W/C ratio unchanged. The “self-leveling” concrete obtained with the addition of SUPERBETON 500-HC does not show segregation and will be more homogeneous and cohesive. Water bleeding values ​​will be less than 5% according to the UNI 7122 standard. When SUPERBETON 500-HC is used in concrete, the workability obtained after the addition can be maintained for a period of time varying from 20 to 40 minutes (at 20°C).

SUPERBETON 1000-HC

SUPERBETON 1000-HC is a ready-to-use superplasticizer based on high molecular weight synthetic polymers with excellent plasticizing properties. Thanks to its high dispersing power and the effective synergy of its components, SUPERBETON 1000-HC promotes concrete hydration, resulting in increased initial and final strength. SUPERBETON 1000-HC is chloride-free.
Thanks to its characteristics, SUPERBETON 1000-HC is suitable for all types of concrete, whether built on-site or truck-transported, regardless of their application (pillars, beams, slabs, thin structures, industrial and airport flooring, etc.). It is also widely used in precast reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete, where curing times are required with a 3-4 hour pre-impregnation cycle. Concrete pre-admixed with SUPERBETON 1000-HC goes from a “wet” consistency (2-4 cm slump) to a superfluid or “self-leveling” consistency simply by adding the superplasticizer in the indicated doses. This results in concrete with high workability but equal strength since the WA/C ratio remains unchanged. When SUPERBETON 1000-HC is used in concrete, the workability obtained after the addition can be maintained for a period of 1-2 hours (at 20°C).

SUPERBETON 1500-HC

It is a ready-to-use superplasticizing additive, based on high molecular weight synthetic polymers with a high plasticizing power.
SUPERBETON 1500-HC, thanks to its high dispersing power and the effective synergy of its components, allows for significantly delayed setting times and prolonged workability. SUPERBETON 1500-HC is chloride-free.
Due to its characteristics, SUPERBETON 1500-HC is particularly suitable for the production of all types of ready-mix concrete on site or for truck-transported ready-mix concrete where, due to work or climatic conditions, it is necessary to delay setting times and maintain workability over time. SUPERBETON 1500-HC also offers advantages such as improved “fair face”, improved concrete/reinforcement adhesion, greater abrasion resistance, and reduced shrinkage of the concrete mix. When SUPERBETON 1500-HC is used in concrete, the workability obtained after the addition is maintained for a period of between 90 and 120 minutes (at 20°C), depending on the type and dosage of cement used. Loss of workability occurs gradually.

SUPERBETON 2000-HC

It is a ready-to-use additive based on water-soluble synthetic polymers with different molecular weights
SUPERBETON 2000 HC is chloride-free. Its high plasticizing power is due to the synergism of each polymer, which exerts a specific and optimal action on the components of Portland cement and its various formulations (Portland + Pozzolanic; Portland + Fly Ash; Portland + Baked Clay; Portland + Silica Fume). The resulting greater dispersion of the fine particles in water allows for the production of fluid or extra-fluid, non-segregating concretes.
SUPERBETON 2000-HC is used for the production of high-quality concrete, both for construction and in civil and industrial prefabrication, particularly for concrete exposed to aggressive chemical atmospheres. Given the high performance of SUPERBETON 2000-HC, its use is recommended for the preparation of special concretes such as: – concrete for precasting, particularly in structures with thin cross-sections; – concrete reinforced with FIBERMIX steel fibers; – concrete with compensated shrinkage using blowing agents; – highly impermeable concrete; the addition of MICROSIL silica fume allows for the production of self-leveling, cohesive concretes, even for underwater casting, achieving extremely high mechanical strength.

SUPERBETON 3000-HC

It is a ready-to-use superplasticizer based on water-soluble synthetic polymers with different molecular weights.
SUPERBETON 3000 HC is chloride-free. Thanks to its high dispersing power and the effective synergy of its components, SUPERBETON 3000-HC promotes concrete hydration, resulting in increased initial and final strength.
Due to its characteristics, SUPERBETON 3000-HC is particularly suitable for the precast sector for the construction of civil and industrial structures, regardless of their type (normal or compromised concrete) and concrete maintenance system. It is also recommended for use in all types of high-quality concrete where good mechanical resistance is required during early curing, even in winter. -The “self-leveling” concrete obtained with the addition of SUPERBETON 3000-HC will not have segregation and will be more homogeneous and cohesive. Bleeding values ​​will be less than 5% according to UNI 7122. -The increased workability reduces installation costs, facilitates casting in thin sections, even with heavily reinforced concrete, and improves pumpability. -With SUPERBETON 3000-HC, concrete with the same workability is obtained, but with W/C ratios of 20-30% and above. The concrete will be more homogeneous, easier to place, and will require less vibration time. Mechanical strength will be proportional to the water reductions made, with increases of up to 100% in some cases compared to the same concrete without additives with the same workability.

IPERBETON 100 is an additive based on polycarboxylate ethers, free from formaldehyde and chlorides, compliant with the UNI EN 934-2, UNI EN 480 (1-2), UNI 10765, ASTM C 494-92 (TYPE F) standards, whose action allows the preparation of cementitious mixes characterised by extremely high performance and rapid development of strength at short maturation times, with significantly reduced losses in workability.
IPERBETON 100 is particularly suitable for the production of precast concrete elements. It allows the production of re-plastic concrete with a very low W/C ratio, thus improving exposed concrete. The use of IPERBETON 100 allows the production of highly compact concrete, thus reducing the risk of atmospheric agents such as chlorides, sulfates, and carbon dioxide damaging the structure. It is a suitable admixture for producing highly fluid concrete with a workability time of 35 minutes. The dispersing action of IPERBETON 100 can be used: to reduce the water content alone compared to unadmixed concrete with the same workability, resulting in increased mechanical strength; – to increase workability compared to unadmixed concrete; – for the prefabrication of prestressed concrete where strand release within 16 hours is required; – for the prefabrication of concrete where partial or total elimination of steam is required.

IPERBETON N-22 is a new-generation superplasticizer based on modified polycarboxylates, free of formaldehyde and chlorides, compliant with UNI EN 934-2, UNI EN 480 (1-2), UNI 10765, ASTM C 494-92 (TYPE F) standards. Particularly suitable for the production of very high-performance ready-mix concrete on construction sites where workability must be maintained for more than 60 minutes even in unfavorable climatic conditions.
IPERBETON N-22 is recommended as a base admixture for the production of: – concrete with long transport times where it is necessary to maintain the initial workability of the concrete for a long time (even over 60 minutes) without adding water; – self-compacting concrete where very high workability is required, but without bleeding and/or mixing. IPERBETON N-35

IPERBETON N-35 is a new-generation superplasticizer based on modified polycarboxylates, free of formaldehyde and chlorides, compliant with UNI EN 934-2, UNI EN 480 (1-2), UNI 10765, ASTM C 494-92 (TYPE F) standards. Particularly suitable for the production of very high-performance ready-mix concrete on construction sites where workability must be maintained for more than 90 minutes even in unfavorable climatic conditions.
IPERBETON N-35 is recommended as a base admixture for the production of: – concrete with long transport times where it is necessary to maintain the initial workability of the concrete for a long time (even over 90 minutes) without adding water; – self-compacting concrete where very high workability is required, but without bleeding and/or mixing. Accelerators & Retarders

RAPID

setting accelerator for concrete and mortar
RAPID is a green liquid specifically formulated to accelerate setting times and achieve high initial strength in cementitious systems. RAPID also has a plasticizing effect and reduces the water/cement ratio while maintaining the workability of the mix. RAPID combines the characteristics of a setting accelerator with the property of being a hardening accelerator, thus further contributing to rapid onset of mechanical strength with short curing times.
By controlling the setting time and cement hardening process, depending on the amount of RAPID used, concrete can be poured and released within the scheduled working times. RAPID is particularly suitable for concrete blocks, industrial and road pavements, and wherever rapid concrete release is required: – High initial strength; – Accelerated stripping with faster reuse of formwork; – Improved mechanical properties of concrete thanks to the reduction of the W/C ratio; – Improved work progress during cold weather; – Compatible with all types of standard Portland concrete.

RETARD 48

RETARD 48 is chloride-free and complies with UNI 934-2, UNI 480-1 and 2 standards.
RETARD 48, per le sue caratteristiche, è particolarmente indicato per il confezionamento di: – malte ad altissimo mantenimento della lavorabilità anche fino a 48 ore dall’impasto; – calcestruzzo preconfezionato in climi caldi; – calcestruzzo pompabile. Setting retarder additive for concrete and mortar
RETARD 72 is a ready-to-use liquid set retarding additive based on high molecular weight synthetic polymers. It allows the production of mortars and concretes with excellent workability retention, up to 72 hours of mixing. RETARD 72 is chloride-free. RETARD 72 complies with UNI 934-2, UNI 480-1 and 2 standards.

IDROCAL 31/L

setting accelerator for concrete and mortar

IDROCAL 31/L is a concrete additive obtained by combining a surfactant component with a specific fluidifying and adhesion action with a water-repellent component. IDROCAL 31/L is a perfectly water-soluble, chloride-free liquid that requires no special precautions for use or handling. IDROCAL 31/L complies with UNI 7102 and ASTM C.494.81 type A standards.
IDROCAL 31/L is particularly suitable for all applications requiring improved waterproofing. It is used to create low-water absorption concrete and to prevent the appearance of surface efflorescence. It is also particularly suitable as a bulk waterproofing agent in the production of vibro-compressed products such as blocks, manholes, curbs, block paving, etc. IDROCAL 31/L is therefore used for: foundation concrete, concrete for retaining walls, concrete for underground structures (cellars, pits, lifting shafts), concrete for sewage treatment tanks, reservoirs, canals, vibro-compressed concrete, and ready-mix concrete. IDROCAL 31/L: – significantly increases the mechanical strength and durability of structures; – facilitates unloading and pumping, as it reduces concrete disintegration; – reduces mechanical vibration times, as it improves compaction of the casting; – ensures reduced shrinkage; – allows for a better and more even finish on exposed castings. It is completely harmless to metal reinforcements and structures.

MICRO SIL

MICROSIL is a powdered product consisting of an excellent micronized silica, commonly known as “fumed silica.” MICROSIL, thanks to its high content of active silica and microsilicates and its very large specified surface area, is currently considered one of the best materials with high pozzolanic activity.
MICROSIL is primarily used in all quality concretes and mortars. It is used in the preparation of: – protective mortars; – mortars for consolidation injections; – expansive mortars; – high-strength mortars or concretes; – highly waterproof mortars or concretes; – prestressed concretes resistant to chemical attack; – mortars or concretes for underwater applications, especially in aggressive environments; – thixotropic repair mortars; – shrinkage-resistant mortars, both pre-mixed and wet. MICROCAL

Waterproofing powder additive for concrete in aggressive, non-washable and non-segregable environments; for underwater works
MICROCAL is a powdered product specifically formulated for the production of non-washable and non-segregating concrete for underwater structures. The product increases the viscosity of the concrete mix, acting on the mixing water and fine particles to form a colloidal compound resistant to leaching and penetration by external water, both in the fresh and hardened state.
Concrete mixed with MICROCAL, combined with a superplasticizer such as IPERBETON 100 or SUPERBETON 1000 HC from MAPLAD, offers the following advantages: – it is homogeneous, compact, with improved mechanical and waterproofing characteristics; – it does not bleed; – it does not segregate; – it can be easily pumped even with small cement doses or in difficult conditions; – it is easy to place with short vibration times; – used for underwater castings, both in fresh and sea water, it prevents washout of fresh concrete and segregation of aggregates; – it is suitable for use in underwater castings, piers, foundations, embankments, basements, etc.

Antifreeze

ANTI G-50

antifreeze additive, accelerator of setting and hardening times; free from chlorides
ANTI G-50 is a special, ready-to-use accelerating admixture, free from chlorides. ANTI G-50 has a chemical-physical action that primarily promotes cement hydration, thus accelerating the setting and hardening of the concrete. As a secondary action, ANTI G-50 lowers the freezing point of the mixing water: an “antifreeze effect.” When used in cold weather and in the recommended dosages, ANTI G-50 accelerates setting times and promotes the development of the initial strength of the concrete mix, thus protecting it from frost damage. It is important to note that, even at temperatures below +10°C, the development of the concrete’s mechanical strength is significantly slowed. ANTI G-50 complies with ASTM C494 Type C-E and UNI 7105-7109 standards.
ANTI G-50 is used in all types of concrete (normal, reinforced, improved, self-supporting). Being a chloride-free product, it is also used for precast and prestressed concrete. ANTI G-50 is particularly suitable for concrete production in cold climates. ANTI G-50 gives the concrete mix the following characteristics: – possibility of pouring in the winter months, when temperatures of -10°C are expected (for pouring at lower temperatures, consult the technical office of Maplad s.r.l. in advance); – the chloride-free product, thanks to its special formulation, helps protect the reinforcing bars from corrosion; – accelerates the resistance of the concrete to low temperatures, facilitating form stripping and protecting it from damage caused by frost.

AERCAL

liquid air-entraining additive for lightweight concrete
AERCAL is a complex solution of anionic active ingredients, containing a special activator that affects cement hydration. AERCAL is formulated to introduce micro-air bubbles into the concrete, and its unique composition controls and limits the maximum amount of air incorporated. AERCAL produces a certain amount of micro-air bubbles that are evenly distributed throughout the concrete during mixing. The presence of micro-air bubbles produced by AERCAL improves the workability of the concrete, thus reducing the amount of water in the mix. Placement is facilitated by the greater fluidity of the mix; bleeding, plastic shrinkage, and segregation are significantly reduced.
AERCAL can be used in ready-mix and pumped concrete, road and airport pavements, bridges, canals, hydroelectric construction, concrete made with lightweight aggregates, and, in general, in all projects requiring the introduction of micro-air bubbles. This includes all concrete designed to withstand freeze-thaw cycles to improve its durability and chemical resistance to the disintegrating action of aggressive, sulfurous, brackish, alkaline water, etc. AERCAL, in concrete mixes: – increases the mix’s cohesion and plasticity; – reduces the W/C ratio; – improves pumpability; – reduces the amount of sand or fines; – reduces segregation, plastic shrinkage, and water runoff; – improves durability by offering greater resistance to freeze-thaw cycles, aggressive and brackish water, etc.

ITALFOAMER

ITALFOAMER is a foaming liquid additive characterized by its ability to incorporate high volumes of air into cement mixes. It is suitable for the production of lightweight, pumpable mortars and concretes. Thanks to its foaming action, ITALFOAMER promotes the formation of micro-air bubbles within the mortar or concrete produced. This ensures high stability and cohesion of the cement mix, significantly improving its pumpability.
ITALFOAMER, due to its characteristics, is particularly suitable: – for the preparation of superfluid, highly stable mortars and cellular concretes with low modulus of elasticity and tensile strength; – for filling excavations made in the ground for the installation of pipes; – for the preparation of mortars and concretes with natural and artificial lightweight aggregates (pumice, expanded clay, polystyrene) with high thermal insulation power; – for increasing the cohesion of the mixture and its plasticity; – for improving the pumpability of the mixture; – for reducing segregation, plastic shrinkage, and water surfacing; – for offering greater resistance to freeze-thaw cycles.

ESPANDEX 100 AD

expansive additive for the preparation of mortars and concretes to be used in soil consolidation and anchoring in tunnel applications

ESPANDEX 100 AD is a single-component powder additive for the production of highly expansive, bleeding-free mortars. Its expansive action, due to the formation of gases in the cement mix, allows mortars (depending on their characteristics) to have a final expansion factor of up to 100% within 60 minutes of adding ESPANDEX 100 AD.

For all applications requiring expansive mortars with a consolidating effect: – consolidation of the excavation face from above by filling voids created with low-pressure injections of expansive mortar; – filling by simple pouring or injection of cavities, cracks, or porosity in soil, rock, etc. The use of ESPANDEX 100 AD in a special mixture injected into the hole after installing the structural element has the characteristic, being in a confined environment, of generating an expansive and confining effect. These actions can recompact the soil around the hole by increasing the soil tension itself or, at the same time, obstruct any fractures or discontinuities.

TEKFLOW

powder additive based on inorganic components for the creation of cement mixes suitable for the protection of post-tensioned cables and anchors
TEKFLOW is a powdered product to be added at a dosage of 6% by weight of the cement to produce fluid, pumpable, non-segregating, waterproof, shrinkage-compensated cementitious mixes with high adhesion to steel and high mechanical strength.
The main uses of cementitious mixes with TEKFLOW additives are: – anchoring steel cables, rods, or tie rods in prestressed concrete; – injecting sheaths with steel strands subjected to high stresses; – injecting into rock and soil, masonry, etc.; and – filling structural joints. The use of TEKFLOW: – provides the grout with high protection against corrosion caused by aggressive fluids; – very high fluidity and absence of bleed, which allows for the production of grouts that are easy to pump and apply; – high mechanical strength at both short and long curing times; – high adhesion to steel and concrete; – expansion, both in the plastic and hardened phases, ensures perfect filling of the cavities into which the grout with the TEKFLOW additive is injected; – the workability times allow for easy operation even at high temperatures; – the waterproofness achieved and the absence of chlorides or other aggressive substances provide additional protection for steel cables and rods.

INTEWELD

dispersing additive, activator and stabilizer for bentonite
INTEWELD is a synthetic chemical emulsion that, when incorporated into a cement mix, allows mortar or grout to bond strongly, even in thin layers, to an existing substrate. Using INTEWELD eliminates the costly tapping operations required to ensure adhesion to the surface to be repaired. Once dry, INTELWELD cannot be re-emulsified in water. The recommended storage temperature is 5-25°C.
INTEWELD is used in addition to cementitious grouts or mortars to provide high flexibility and long-lasting adhesion to all existing concrete structures requiring repair. INTEWELD is used in mortars for the repair of old structures, to protect reinforcing bars on slabs or thin structures, as a bonding slurry between two successive concrete pours, to repair edges or chippings on precast structures, to bond concrete to a bituminous surface, and to create waterproofing mortars or plasters. INTEWELD grouts are particularly suitable for leveling substrates where vinyl coverings requiring an adhesive will be installed.
