Le GFRP constitue une solution efficace pour le renforcement structurel interne, offrant plusieurs avantages : il ne p\u00e8se qu\u2019un quart du poids de l\u2019acier, il est plus facile et plus s\u00fbr \u00e0 manipuler et ne n\u00e9cessite ni entretien ni protection contre la corrosion. <\/p><p data-path-to-node=\"4\">Les analyses du co\u00fbt du cycle de vie (LCC) montrent que le renforcement en GFRP allie un prix comp\u00e9titif \u00e0 une maintenance nulle, une durabilit\u00e9 exceptionnelle et une dur\u00e9e de vie prolong\u00e9e. verre continues de type EC-R, orient\u00e9es dans le sens de la charge et li\u00e9es par une matrice en polyester ou en vinylester. Le proc\u00e9d\u00e9 de fabrication assure l&rsquo;impr\u00e9gnation compl\u00e8te des fibres, garantissant ainsi une r\u00e9sistance et une rigidit\u00e9 longitudinale \u00e9lev\u00e9es. La matrice maintient les fibres en place, r\u00e9partit les charges et les prot\u00e8ge contre les agents nocifs. Ces barres brutes sont ensuite durcies thermiquement. Ce proc\u00e9d\u00e9 permet d\u2019obtenir une teneur \u00e9lev\u00e9e en fibres et un alignement quasi parall\u00e8le, ce qui conf\u00e8re \u00e0 ces barres une r\u00e9sistance \u00e9lev\u00e9e et un module d\u2019\u00e9lasticit\u00e9 similaire \u00e0 celui des barres droites. Issues de roches volcaniques naturelles, elles sont consid\u00e9r\u00e9es comme non polluantes, car leur production n\u00e9cessite moins d&rsquo;additifs chimiques que celle de nombreuses fibres synth\u00e9tiques. Les fibres de basalte offrent des propri\u00e9t\u00e9s m\u00e9caniques comparables \u00e0 celles du GFRP, notamment une bonne r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la traction ainsi qu\u2019une r\u00e9sistance \u00e9lev\u00e9e \u00e0 la corrosion et aux temp\u00e9ratures \u00e9lev\u00e9es.
